Stop paying rent on hardware you already own.
A field log for running your own stack. Local AI, your own storage, your own network, your own signal. Every build here runs on machines in a spare room, written up straight, including the parts that broke.

Four ways in
What worked, what broke, what it actually cost. Not a polished tutorial, a record kept while doing it.
The Kit The hardware doing the workWhat is in the rack, what each box does, and what it is worth paying for rather than renting.
Films Five films made on one graphics cardFive short films, free to watch and download. The images, the motion and the music all came out of local models on a card in a spare room.
KyberAmp Free original music, no accountGenerated locally, mastered on the same box, handed over with no download gate and no email box to tick.
The argument
It is arithmetic, not nostalgia
The point. Almost every tool you use now is a subscription to something you could run yourself, on hardware that is already paid for, with your files staying on your disk. That is not nostalgia and it is not paranoia, it is just arithmetic. The catch is nobody writes down what it actually takes. So that is what this site is.
The method. Nothing here is theoretical. Every log is a thing that runs in this house, and the failures stay in the writeup because the failures are the useful part. If a build cost four evenings and two wrong turns, it says so.
